Day 1

Details of the Day: Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), your guide/driver will meet you for a brief orientation and transfer you to your accommodation in Arusha (approx. one hour away). Settle in and prepare for your safari adventure.

Day 2

Details of the Day: After breakfast, embark on a three-hour trip to Lake Manyara National Park. The park is renowned for its tree-climbing lions, stunning lake views, and diverse bird species. Enjoy a game drive, followed by a picnic lunch within the park.

  • Lake Manyara Game Drive.

Day 3

Details of the Day: Head to Lake Eyasi for an exciting cultural experience. Spend time with the Hadzabe Bushmen (hunter-gatherers), learning about their ancient customs. You may accompany them on a hunting or gathering expedition, or participate in traditional dance. You can also interact with the Datoga (blacksmiths) and Iraqw (agriculturalists). Return to Karatu.

Day 4

Details of the Day: Following breakfast, set out on a scenic drive of approximately four hours to reach the awe-inspiring Great Serengeti National Park. The route includes entering the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Experience a thrilling game drive upon arrival in Serengeti Central.

  • Enter Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
  • Serengeti Central Game Drive.

Day 5 - 6

Details of the Day: Explore the vast plains of the Serengeti National Park on Full Day Game Drives (two full days). This provides ample time to spot elusive wildcats (lions, leopards, cheetahs) and potentially witness the awe-inspiring Wildebeest Migration.

  • Full Day Game Drive in Serengeti Central.

Day 7

Details of the Day: Embark on an early morning game drive through the Serengeti. In the afternoon, continue your 3-hour journey to Ngorongoro Conservation Area with another game drive en route. Arrive at your lodge on the crater rim to settle in for the night.

Day 10

Details of the Day: Depending on your flight schedule, you will be picked up from your Arusha accommodation and transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), departing for home.
